The second test match between India and South Africa will be played at Pune. It is the first time they are playing at this venue since their loss to Australia in 2017.
The pitch at that time was a spinning track and you expect the pitch to turn sooner than expected. Virat Kolhi was not happy with lack of grass on the wicket.
This suggests the pitch will turn possibly on day one but you would expect South Africa to win unless Maharaj spins South Africa to victory.
He bowled poorly in the first test. As his spell got longer his action looked tired and wasn’t able to apply any pressure on the Indian Batsmen.
India should expect to win the second test match – I dont think South African spinners have enough experience to bowl the Indian batsmen out.
The South Africans did amazingly well in the first test match. They took the match into 5th day.
Once the pitch breaks up the game accelerates and India won the the match by 203 runs.
Playing in India is always tough and winning in India tougher. I expect India to win the second test.
